It is located at the foot of a hill, 31 km southeast of Chania. The church is a single-roomed and arched church with a dome in its original form, which became cross-shaped during the Venetian occupation. At the beginning of the 20th century a one-room extension was added. Its rich fresco decoration dates back to the 13th century.
